I have tried downloading the student version of solid edge 7 times (using my 3 different email addresses/links).
but the closest it got me was to 70% 'extraction' before saying its corrupt, Again!
I have tried using a download manger, and tried it using google crome, firefox, and explorer.
My download speed had been averaging at 1.4Mb/sec (during the download), so i dont think the speed is the problem.
If anyone can help, i would love the help, before uni starts up again.
Try using the download manager with "binary" mode for download. That worked for me. I used "Free Download Manager". Right-click on download -> Download properties. Go to Protocol Tab, under "Transfer mode" section Click on "Binary", Then click Ok. I had to try several times as well, until I realized that it was probably downloading in ASCII which meant it didnt download completely correctly. Downloading in "binary" mode ensures a more exact copy. Try it and see if it works.
thanks for the idea, but sadly after downloading using 'binary' twice, and trying to 'extract' each of the downloads twice, it still only makes it to 85% before saying its corrupt. 22GB later, and still no luck. any other ideas?
