License Issue

N/A
Hello.
Anyone had the following issue after installing Solid Edge?
i am running Windows 7 - 64 bit
Ran the full install off the download link. (no issues)
Went to install the license after the install as follows:-
Start, All programs, Solid Edge ST4, Licensing, License Utility
the following pop up message appears:-

Header :-
License File In Use

Content:-
The Solid Edge license file is currently in use. Please Exit your Solid Edge Session then restart the License Wizard.

To be fair, Solid egde is not running, i have restarted the pc, and this is where i have got to...
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best wishes....

This was happening to me as well but its now fixed all you have to do is follow my steps.

1. Delete the current SELicense.dat from C:\Program Files (x86)\Solid Edge ST4\Program

2. Drag the license file that you were emailed into that same directory.

3. Rename that file to SELicense.dat (when you save the file, save it as all files)

4. Then open startmenu and search license Utility and open it

5. now type C:\Program Files (x86)\Solid Edge ST4\Program\SELicense.dat
into the first field

6. press OK and your done Smiley Happy

Try renaming the license file from SELicense.txt to SELicense.dat. Make
sure it is not SELicense.dat.txt as Windows does love to add extensions
if you have them hidden in the folder options.
Then save it in your C:\Program Files\Solid Edge ST4\Program folder.
You should overwrite the existing file.
