I try to measure the area property of a section (inspect/evaluate/area/area information)
And it keeps referencing the Xc, Xy in the tabulation of results to the original world origin in the model.
However the correct local Xc,Xy is shown on the drg. by the co-ordinates on calculation.
I reposition the origin but it continues to refer to the original orgin.
I move the section to the original origin and of course the correct Xc, Xy is calculated.
Any suggestions on how to do this without doing any manual recalculations

I presume you are talking about a section view in a draft sheet, not in the 3D model....although, some of what you're saying is model environment specific? [not strictly 2D....as the subject line suggests]
In "Draft"....the X & Y offset values returned are specific to the location within the draft sheet, X0 & Y0 being lower left hand sheet corner.
In "Part"....you'd need to reposition the actual model to the global origin.

Thanks for your quick repsonse.
Sorry for the confusion.
I'm relatviely new to Solidedge. I am using the 2d draft at this stage with the intent to move on to 3d.
It isn't a 3d model only a 2d cross section (.dft)
But I think your answer still applies to my issue.
I will as you say have to move the "2d section" to the global orgin and future when I begin a 3d part as well.
