Mirrored part

N/A
If I create a part and require a handed version of the original what is the most efficient way, I tried doing a mirror and this works but I need to save the mirrored part and all it's relationships and dimensions as a separate part, can this be done?

create a new part
use insert part copy
mirror about the desired plane in the IPC dialog.

Thank you,
Easy when you know how, this will save me so much time, as I said I'm green and slow, one part takes me ages at the moment, at least I won't have to model it again in the opposite hand.

Also, you are able to mirror half of an assembly (or sub-assys) and their parts in the existing assembly environment, or separately using the Insert Assembly Copy into a blank ASM file. SE will perform the same process mentioned by Matt to create mirrors of the parts that need mirroring as it analyzes the geometry to determine if it needs left alone, rotated or mirrored.

Thanks,
