Hi, there are various ways you can write text onto a part model or similar. You could use a sketch on a face, projected sketch geometry or even place an image (JPG, BMP, etc) or logo onto a face using various different methods. Perhaps you can elaborate on what you want to achieve here.
To change the colour of the modelling background you can do the following:
Go to the View Ribbon and choose the View Overrides command in the Style group.
Then on the background tab of the dialogue that appears, simply choose the background options you want. The default is probably set to a gradient so you can play around with the colours you have available in the same tab.
If you set the Type to Solid Edge Default, the colour of this is set within your Solid Edge options dialogue. This is launched from the Application menu at the top left of the screen.
Tanzin, There is a function in the Profile environment called Text Profile. This allows you to create 'written' geometry in editable form using standard Windows fonts, which can then be used to create (eg) a cutout (debossed feature) or protrusion (embossed) on your part. Text Profile can be made to follow a line or curve but it has a 'cussed' nature and will sometimes flip upside down etc ... Rick. I have SE Student Edition and Windows 7,
Could you help me on these questions, 1) how can I delete my changes and mistakes.
2) and Select button does not work with mouse right click in ISO Draft.
How can I fix those problems?
You may need to clarify your questions as they seem a bit vague.. 1) I have no clue what you are asking 2) Not really sure what you are asking, but the Left Mouse Button is used to Select... Ken http://grundey.blogspot.com http://www.pella.com

You should be able to just hit the delete key on your keyboard when you have geometry selected. It will delete whatever you do have selected. If you're in the draft environment and don't seem to be able to select anything, do you have your select filter set correctly. Its the button that appears on the left hand end of the floating ribbon. Called Select Options. You want to make sure you have the 'All Layers' option checked as well as everything else. Hope that helps
