Hi there Devin,
Unfortunately no, that link will expire, but here is a direct link to the file....
http://dl2.plm.automation.siemens.com/solidedge/SolidEdgeV105ENGLISH_32Bit.exe
You will still need the license file from the original message (save it to a known location on your system) and the message should guide you through the process of installing it, once you have the correct operating system.
You could download it now, & save both the license & install file to a DVD (or flash drive) in readiness.

Hi there,
Time depends entirely on the speed of internet connection you have....the installation file to be downloaded is about 2GB, if I recall correctly, so this WILL take a while for sure.
If interuptions cause a restart, look at installing one of the free download managers available online, then try again.

What about the 64-bit version, is it available?
Thanks

Hi there,
No, as far as I know, there is not going to be one. The 32bit version should be adequate for "almost" everyone, and I guess, that was the whole point.
64bit machines with a surplus of RAM will of course show a benefit of the free system memory available for Solid Edge to use.
With the commercial release of ST6 having just happened, the Student Edition shouldn't be too far behind.
Keep an eye out for it.

Actually ST6 was just 'announced'. Won't release for a few more weeks.
