If you missed the option to select ANSI templates as you installed SE,
then the forum thread linked below should help:

I still have the download link, can I uninstall and re-install to correct the problem? Thanks for your help

Re: dimension style

N/A
Yes. That is an option, and might be the most straight forward. Be
sure to save your selicense.dat file, or you will have to register
again. While installing, choose the appropriate dimensioning standards,
and the install tool will use default templates with those standards.
Or, you could do what the person on the forum I linked did, and swap the
templates around. Rename the tempates as described, and it will work. I
should warn you not to delete the default templates, or replace them
with a differently named file. SE uses the default templates for .par,
..psm, and .asm when translating files. If it can't find the default
template file, it will stop the translation.
Or, if you want to get fancy, you could create your own templates with
your own dimensioning styles. SE templates are just an empty file that
has been saved with different settings that the other templates, and
then saved to the templates folder (or a sub folder.) We use lots of
custom templates in addition to the default templates. Look at the help
files that discuss dimension styles for more information, or search
youtube for Solid Edge - Custom Templates.

I uninstalled, re-installed, problem solved.....I should have paid more attention to the screen prompts in the beginning. Thanks for your help. Do you build the Ditch Witch? I used to farm so Im familiar with it. Now I work at Harsh International, were converting our auto-cad prints to solid edge. Check out our stuff at Harshenviro.com.

I am glad that you were able to get things straightened out.
Yes, I work for Ditch Witch (ditchwitch.com.) We went through the
process of changing CAD systems when we switched from Microstation to
Solid Edge years ago. It was a pain, but I am glad that we did it.
Good luck with your transition to Solid Edge.
