Embedded CFD car cabin

Hi,

I am using the E-CFD car cabin model on Amesim and I would like to visualize a temperature field in the cabin, but the demo only allows to see velocity results. Thus, I wonder:

1) Is there a way to plot a 3D temperature field directly in the app ?

2) Is it at least possible to get temperature data on each node/cell of the mesh somewhere ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @langlaish,

Thank you for using the E-CFD car cabin model in Simcenter Amesim.

The 3D temperature field is not available since it does not correspond exactly to the one to be considered each time the 3D simulation is called.

As a matter of fact, the 3D calculation is a steady-state calculation, which consequently gives steady-state temperature results and not transient ones.

The 3D is called essentially to get an update of the heat transfer coefficients (for which temperature is of second order) as well as the mass flow transfer between the zones.

These information are then transfered into the system simulation environment where the mass and energy balances are computed in a transient mode.

I hope this answers your question
