I am trying to use the Bevel Gear submodel (TRBVG01A) in the Powertrain Library to try and capture the transmission error. I have two displacement-to-null sensors at the input and output ports and I have a constant angular velocity input at port 2 and zero torque source at port 1. I am getting a difference in the expected and actual angular displacement fo gear at port 1, for a constant stiffness contact type, ie. the unloaded transmission error. However, the value obtained is nowhere close to the experimentally obtained transmission error values. Any suggestions to get better results and model it better? I am new to Amesim and not able to understand how the gear contact stiffness module works in Amesim.
