file name concatenate with global parameter

Hello,

Is there a way to concatenate a string with a global parameter.

I am in validation phase and I have to compare my results with bench test.

So I load several sensors SIGUDA with datafile from ASCII export, and I would like to quick load bench test scenario.

For instance:

massflow_measure_01.data

massflow_measure_02.data

massflow_measure_03.data

...

Instead of modifying every SIGUDA with the right argument (01 / 02 / 03 ...), I wanted to pilot them with a global parameter

massflow_measure_{my_gp}.data

Is it possible?

If yes, what is the right syntax

Many thanks in advance

Maxime

Alright, I got it:

With a global Parameter, the syntax is :

my_measure_file_Nr_${my_gp}.data

Hi @mAx,

yes you got the info, but beware, this concatenation inside global parameters only works when you are concatenating text parameters. In your example ${my_gp}, my_gp has to be a text parameter.

There is also a way to actually concatenate text and real/integer but today this can be done only with Design Studies (via Export Setup in odler versions).

If you define a global parameter index which is an integer.

Then, you open the "Study manager" in Amesim 16 (export setup in older versions) and drag this global parameter and your text parameter as inputs.

Then you can define a DOE study: parameter study, user sets.

And here you can concatenate text and integer or text and real using the same syntax.

Hello @Emmanuel_D,

From my side the concatenation was with text parameters, so it did the job perfectly.

I keep your advice and I will check it out, once we will migrate to REV16

Thank you
