AWC 3.4 Viewing Content tab returns error: Unable to load/execute shared library operation

Hello

After patching from AWC3.3 to 3.4 I always get the following error when displaying the content tab.

From the syslog:

Any idea what causes this?

The syslog shows that IPv6 addresses are being used yet most of Teamcenter is set to prefer IPv4 addresses. Do you have IPv6 addresses listed in the FMS Master (not likely)? You'll probably need to disable IPv6 on your network card to resolve this error.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I disabled ipv6 now on the server and tried browsing content again.

Now the error in syslog looks like this (now without ipv6 addresses but still failing with the same error message)
(in case it is relevant; this is the test server where everything is running on a single machine)

I re-checked the patching documentation and realised that I haven't done this step. Does it make sense that this can relate to the content view error?.

Set up a custom template after patching

If you have a custom template that is dependent on the Active Workspace template (aws2 ) and other Active Workspace templates, you must follow a special procedure to set up this template after patching Active Workspace.

Add the Active Workspace template (aws2 ) any other needed Active Workspace templates to the Business Modeler IDE by selecting Add/Update Templates for working within the Business Modeler IDE Client in the Feature Maintenance panel of Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM).

Run TEM and re-patch Active Workspace.

This copies the required Business Modeler IDE .jar files for Active Workspace into the installation.

In the Business Modeler IDE, import your custom template. To add the Active Workspace template (aws2 ) and the other dependent Active Workspace templates:

Right-click your custom template project and choose Properties .

In the left pane, choose Teamcenter →BMIDE .

In the Dependent Templates pane, select the aws2 template and the other Active Workspace templates previously added using the Add/Update Templates for working within the Business Modeler IDE Client option in TEM.

Click OK .

The template is now ready to be deployed.

When i do this I get the following error. So I try to point at the feature-templates again but that just gives me another error.

Has anyone seen this behavour before? Any idea how to fix it?

Actually, your IPv6 is still a problem ... ::1 is IPv6 lingo for localhost (0.0.0.0 in IPv4 speak). But I don't think this is the root cause of your problem.

The template is actually looking for the source media (package files with a feature_XXX.xml) and not for what you have already installed in TC_ROOT\install\install\modules. But this is out of my area of expertise and will let others weigh-in.

Hello,

The solution was simple. The problem was caused by old cache files.
I killed all TC and solr processes, and deleted V11000xxxx folders in %temp% and %temp%/2

After restarting the system the content was displaying correctly in AWC 3.4
