Attached is the ClassificationAndLibraryManagement_One-StopGuide-AW4.1

  1. Check if you have followed the steps in Section 10.2 Classification Presentation Layer or Next Gen Classification Indexing  in the attached document
  2. Also, check section 11 Troubleshooting / Issues Catalogue

Hope that helps.

Hi Abhi,

thank you for your answer.

I've followed this guide but not working yet.

I tried to work using this adivised Tiles but Nothing:

"Administrators can configure the properties displayed on the VNC using standard “configuration mechanism used for Tiles”.
To achieve this, administrators will use following Teamcenter object types to configure the Classification hierarchy tiles:
✓ Lbr0Library (top level of a Library structure)
✓ Lbr0Hierarchy (2nd level of a Library structure)
✓ Lbr0HierarchyNode (remaining levels of a Library structure)"

Someone have experience with this tiles?

Thank you very much,

Francesco

You clearly have a problem but the problem is different.

The screenshot you show is after you click the Classification Tile on AW homepage.

You see the hierarchy (that is right), but you don't see the VNC's on the right

https://docs.plm.automation.siemens.com/tdoc/aw/4.1/aw_html_collection#uid:xid1603654

After you drill down the hierarchy you trigger the search that leads you to the objects in the hierachy and bulk filters appear for selection.

Will try to see why your VNC's are not working. I am assuming you are on AW4.1and 11.6/12.1

Hi Abhi,

thank you for your answer and support.

Yes, I see the hierarchy but I don't see the VNC's on the right: my tree is empty without elements.

Yes, I work with AW4.1 and TC11.6.

In your environment the Classification and VNC's work correctly?

I try to do another searchs and tests and update you if i found the solution.

Can you update me If you have news?
Thank you very much for your help

Have a nice day,

Francesco

Hi Abhi,

i've solve my problem.

The steps are the follow:

1. i've check that in the BMIDE were the Awp0SearchClassifySearchEnabled e Awp0SearchClassifyIndexed enabled for the specific items

2. rerun deploy

3. runTcFTSIndexer -task=objdata:clear

4. smlutility -create_indexing_views -u=username -p=password -g=dba –recursive (were created and skipped)

5. bmide_modeltool.bat -u=username -p=password -g=dba -tool=all -mode=upgrade -target_dir="TC_DATA"

6. TcSchemaToSolrSchemaTransform.bat %TC_DATA%\ftsi\solr_schema_files

7. runTcFTSIndexer -task=objdata:index

Now Working the Classification Tileimage.png

NOTES:

I've tested to insert ICO in search_index_view but not working fine and the images showing in AWC are those of the classification classes.

Reading the documentation i've found this about the VNC's:

Available for Classification Presentation Layer depending on the minimum Teamcenter version (but Library VNC’s will not be available here as Library Management is yet not deployed).

I work TC11.6 and AWC4.1

Thank you very much,

have a nice day.

Francesco

Thats Great Francesco!

But aren't these steps covered in the 10.2 section of OneStop Guide?

Yes, is described but i think taht in the documentation spoke about a new installation.
I arrived from 4.0 AWC version and i think that needed to re-deploy my Business Modeler.

Thank you for your help,

Have a nicec day.

Hi Francesco,

I have a similar setup as yours but facing issues with regards to filtering search results based on classification attributes.

I patched AWC from 4.0 to 4.1, but in addition also added next generation classification and library features.

In addition to the commands you have run, I also ran the below to import classification class hierarchy into classification presentation node hierarchy.

clsutility -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -import -hierarchy -cid=ICM -include_instances -output=C:\TEMP\cls.log

I can see the classification tree structure, browse and search, but I dont see any classification attributes in the filter panel even though the SOLR schema contains "0Y0_Classification_0Y0" classfication attributes. Can you please provide any help/clues?

Thanks,

Ajay

Hi Ajay,

have you modify the BMIDE to active the index of classification?

I had checked that in the BMIDE were the Awp0SearchClassifySearchEnabled e Awp0SearchClassifyIndexed enabled for the specific items (i had put this configuration to the top level under the generic item).

I've clean the old indexing object

After the deploy i had run the bmide_modeltool.bat in mode upgrade and TcSchemaToSolrSchemaTransform.bat %TC_DATA%\ftsi\solr_schema_files to update the schema.

I had run the reindex for object and after i was able to see the classification object.

Did you have done all these steps?

Have a nice day,

Francesco
