Active Workspace 3.0 - search has failed to perform

Hello,

I have installed AW 3.0 on a testing machine according to the Deployment guide. The SolR Indexing Service is running and the initial indexing has been performed.

The command "TC_ROOT\TcFTSIndexer\bin\runTcFTSIndexer.bat -task=objdata:test" also show that everything seems to be correct. However when logging in to ActiveWorsspace as infodba, the Serach doesnt return any items but the following error message:

Connections to the following search servers (Solr) were refused:
http://someserver:8983/solr/collection1/tcfts
.The search has failed to perform.

Does anybody have an idea? Is there another possibility to check if the AW can connect to SolR?

Regards,

Mark

Found any Solution? The same here for AW 3.0.1, .NET Web Tier.
Solr itself is working and returning values when querying on the Solr admin Webpage.

Indeed. there was an error when installing the database triggers. Missed a whitespace when executing the command. Installed the triggers correctly and it worked perfectly aftwards.

Re: Active Workspace 3.0 - search has failed to perform

I am also facing exactly the same issue with 10.1.6.1 (SSO) and AWS3.1

The search in AWS client is showing connection refused to solr servers while I have no issue connecting using solr_admin

I manually installed the database triggers and that seems to work fine. Do I need to do something else after reinstalling these database triggers.

Any suggestion would be very much appreciated !

Hi, please make sure the URL for solr in your 4-tier rich client is correct.
It should be http://someserver:8983/solr
You can also verify this in your TcFTSIndexer cache files, it is incorrect, correct it in your RAC 4-tier, it will be corrected in your cache as well.

http://someserver:8983/solr/collection1/tcfts
.The search has failed to perform

You also get the above error if the account "solr_admin" or "infodba" for Solr is not in sync accross your solr and pool manger servers. Please use TEM to update the password and make sure on pool Manger, the ${TC_ROOT}/security Linux or %TC_ROOT%/secuirty Windows files are having the correct password.
