BIMDE

Hi,

I would like to know what is the difference between BMIDE 4 tier and 2 tier?

And if there is a difference how to decide which bmide to use?

I am currently using TC 11.2.1.

Re: BIMDE

Dear Sanket,

BMIDE 2-Tier or 4-Tier is the mode in which your BMIDE Client connects to TC when required.

There are many configurations in BMIDE which require a TC session to be established; e.g., Type Display rules.

You can also have a standalone BMIDE with which you cannot establish a TC connection.

Hope this helps

Mahendra

Re: BIMDE

So does that mean that i can use BMIDE 2 tier to make changes in TC 4 tier rich client?

Re: BIMDE

BMIDE does not make changes to the client. It's server side only. If you want to make changes to the client then you have to do it through TEM (for 2 tier rich client and/or 4 tier rich client) or through OTW using INSWEB/WAS (for 4 tier rich client).

Re: BIMDE

Dear Mahendra and Randy,

Thank you for adding to my knowledge of BMIDE, things are a bit clearer to me now.
