Hi all

I've an error in deployment command of BMIDE. After a while deployment stops with error: "File not found" and no more information.

It's obvious that the error happened in step 9 business_model_updater.exe command but not the info isn't enough.

The project deploy log file is as follow:

Good afternoon, business_model_updater.exe it should also generate a log, you need to look at it for errors or put it here

Thanks @ArthurRM

The business_model_updater**.log file was empty, but I found the bmide_manage_templates**.syslog with the following error:

ERROR - 515035: The input string is too long.
ERROR - 515035: The input string is too long. - ERROR: 515035 ERROR MSG: The input string is too long.. - Teamcenter.main at D:\workdir\tc1140x_win64\src\core\main\bmide_manage_templates_itk_main.cxx(435)

Actually I think its due to a failed bmide template installation (SWIM) and I've no backup before that. Is there any way to make it correct?

Any solution?

Thanks

I have a question, do you install the SWIM Template using BMIDE? This is an OOTB template and is usually installed using the environment manager (tem.bat). Do you install the template bm2johnbide_project_tc11000.4.0.zip? It's just not like the SWIM Template.

When you install the templates, judging by your log, you have backed up the xml of your data model:

Backing up model.xml to model_backup.xml.
The file model.xml is copied to: C:\PROGRA ~ 1\Siemens\tcdata\model\model_backup.xml

No, I used TEM to install it, but as I mentioned before error 515035 happened during the installation process and unfortunately I had no backup before that.

Yes, It's my test template which I applied it after SWIM. I just wanted to test if BMIDE and tcdata work correctly but no chance.

Would you think if its possible to manipulate model.xml to remove failed SWIM template installation?

Actually I've not enough information about TCDATA content and its affect on TC process and which files are changed after any template installation (Like SWIM).

Thanks

I have not encountered this error, here's what you can try to do:

1) Try to remove SWIM from tem.bat (select modify component, and try unselect SWIM)

2) You can return to the previous configuration, as described by RandyEllsworth in this thread:

https://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/Teamcenter-Administrators-Forum/tem-bat-stuck-in-rec...

And try reinstall SWIM template. Before reinstalling, save a copy of the current configuration.xml so that you can return to the current state

3) Try remove bmide template from teamcenter, but I never tried to delete it

4) Contact to GTAC

I tired to replicate this bug and I can't figure out when it exactly occurs. I have 2 environments OOTB TCRS + AWC (11.4.7 + 3.2.3) both with the same issue. The installation wet fine but when I run bmide_manage_templates tool to list installed templates I receive 515035 Error message before any attempt to install additional data model.

Hello, try to look * .syslog, which generates bmide_manage_templates for more information about this error
