Classification of an Item (ItemRevisions) of a certain Status

Hello everyone

I was wondering if it is possible to define a Rule, so that only Items (ItemRevisions) of a certain Status can be classified. To make sure, that only approved Items (ItemRevisions) can be classified.

And on the other hand, if an ItemRevision is revised and the Status of the old ItemRevision is set to inactive the ItemRevision should not longer be displayed in my Classification (or no longer be part of my Classification)

Is there a way to accomplish that?

Thanks alot, Bastian

I have only just started looking at Classification, so I am not at an expert!

But, my 1st thought was access, and Access can be controlled through an ACL:

So, you could have a branch that only allows it for revisions which have status.

Cant help with your 2nd question though.

For the second part of the question classification has the ability to apply a revision rule as part of the classification search.  You may configure it so that only revisions that are approved are shown in the search results.  You can setup defaults through preferences.

Take a look in the Classification Guide and search for "Apply a Revision Rule".
