Hello;

Recentely I get a message when some users want to login to clien. the message is:

"The client cache is empty. The rich client is logged in in skip cache mode. If you wish to improve Rich Client performance see your administrator about generating a client cache."

I don't know what is the issue. Anyone know about what to do?

Thanks.

generate the client cache using the command below.

generate_client_meta_cache -u=infodba -p=password -g=dba generate all

Hi,

You have to run this command on the application server in a TC Command prompt.

Hi BKA,

I absolutely met the same issue and I tried taking your suggestion and it works for me now. However, I am kind of interested in how come this could happen.

we deployed something through BMIDE recently and after that this issue arose.

looking forward to your reply. Thanks!

@Mason

Hello;

It could happen due to many reasons, but it your case it seems that when you deployed your template you forgot to select "Create_client_cache" option. anyway what you have done is the same thing but manual.

OK. I will keep my eye on it next time when I deploy. Thanks!

@JFK1963 - I've had an instance that said it updated the client cache when I deployed but it absolutely didn't do it. I read the logs and it said the commands completed successfully. It didn't. I would have to do it manually after each time I deployed. It was weird. So why it happens is sometimes a mystery.
