Genius

I upgraded from TC91 to TC11.2.1. For some reason custom STATUS icons dont show up in web client (browser).

However custom ITEM icons shows up in web client and all custom icons shows up in 4T rac. I'm using .net based web tier. Any body who has gone through similar issue ?

Cusomt Status Icons are of correct size and was working perfectly in TC9.1

You can check these things:

Icons listed in WEB_status_icons site preference

Acme4_Released (Note: Use the Real Name)

.NET only

Copy the status icon to TC_ROOT\WebTier\webapp_root\typeicons\

Acme4_Released.png

J2EE only

Copy the status icon to INSWEB\tcapp\webapp_root\typeicons\

Acme4_Released.png

Regenerate tc.ear in INSWEB

Deploy the revised tc.ear to the Web Application Server

Restart the Web Application Server

Find the Web_status_icons preference
Change the value of protection scope to "Site" (its one of the changes from tc 9 -> tc10) which is user by default.
Make sure to place the status Icons in webapp_root\teamcenter\dhtml\icons. The icons must have the same
name as the preference entry and must be .png files.

Thanks Randy,
I tried your .Net web tier suggestion, did not work.

Thanks for your response. If I change scope of the preference to SITE, I get an error on summary tab after login:

"The current logged-in user does not have the necessary privileges to carry out the requested action."

I've placed the icons in mentioned directory as mentioned. No luck.

The icon file name must by the internal name of the status
In my env I didn't have to change the Web_status_icons preference. It was working as is.
The protection scope = User
Values=
in_process
configured
TraceLink
AllReleaseStatuses

All I did is to put the icon and the .net webclient showed the right icon for my status.
