Can someone tell me the difference between the TSTK services nxtransdirect and nxtopvdirect and when each of them shall be used?
What I want to achive is to create step files on the NX files saved into Teamcenter so I wonder if I can use nxtransdirect.
We use "nxtopvdirect" service to create the DirectModel (.jt) files from UGMASTER(.prt) files through the dispatcher services in Teamcenter.
I have not heard of a service for "nxtransdirect".
Hope this helps !
nxtopvdirect is the older but still very useful translator for creating JT files from NX models but must be called interactively via the Rich Client or automatically as part of a Workflow handler.
nxtransdirect is a newer translator that can be configured to create asynchronous NX to JT translations at every save operation in NX so that the end user doesn't have to wait the additional time for his/her client to create and upload them while saving NX files.
Thx Larry, so nxtransdirect can be enabled in the NX options then I assume.
This is what I would like to enable.
nxtransdirect is a Dispatcher component but is enabled within NX by turning off the Customer Default "Synchronous JT Creation in File Save".
