I already add a folder on all the HomeFolder of all my users.
I would like my users have right acces on this folder, but I want this folder to be undeletabled and uncutabled by other people than myself.
How can I constrain this folder to have the desired behavior ?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Out of the box behavour of Teamcenter requires you to set access rights for the shared folder to not be cuttable on the Home folder which affects other objects aswell.
If you create a custom relation i BMIDE, adds the relation to the Home Folder object, and then create a GRM rule that makes this relation frozen. After that you ned to add the relation to the default properties of the Home Folder, and change the relation between the Home folder of every user and the shared folder from content to the custom relation.
I wouldn’t say that this is something that I recommend doing. It wont make trouble for you, but depending on what the shared folder is used for there might be a better solution.
If you tell me what the folder is for, I might be able to give you a better solution.
Thank you Nibe1 for your quick answer.
I want that all my users have a shared folder " library" where they save Standard items.
I don't want my users be able to delete or cut item in that folder, but I want they be able to create it in this folder.
Thank you for your help.
I did the next tasks as you did recommand:
1- I created a relation, called it "Home Folder Relation".
2- I attached the relation to the Home Folder.
3- In the GRM rule I chose the "frozen" option.
4- I created the a new object under the "Folder" business object. I called it "Shared Folder".
5- I deployed the template project.
1-I created the Folder named "Bibliothèque" as a "Shared Folder".
I found that I can't do the special past, and the folder "Biliothèque" is always created with the relation type "Contents" which I can't change.
Please see the 2 pictures below . They show what I did in the preferences (Options) in order to create "Bibliothèque" using the relation "Home Folder Relation".
Even with these preferences I still can't get the folder "Bibliothèque" using the relation "Home Folder Relation".
Please could you help me.
Thank you by advance.
I was wrong, I did a mistake in my preference.
Now it's working well.
I just changed the GRM rule to use "add only".
