Here are the steps to debug the connection:
1. Test ugs_router, run from a Teamcenter command prompt:
If testing 4-tier then set these first
set UGII_UGMGR_COMMUNICATION=http set UGII_UGMGR_HTTP_URL=http://yourhost:8080/tc
Then for 4-tier or 2-tier run
Validation: NXManager started and log on was ok.
Note: Uses OS user for login
2. Test MIME type ugmportal, run from a Teamcenter command prompt:
cd /d C:\Siemens\TCPD\TCADM\portal runner -mime=application/ugmportal
Note: C:\Siemens\TCPD\TCADM\portal is my %PORTAL_ROOT% (OTW clients will see rac instead of portal).
Validation: You should see a pop-up.
No pop-up means you have a MIME type issue. Likely a missing entry.
Search for registry keys:
The value should point to %PORTAL_ROOT%\start_ugmanager.bat e.g. C:\Siemens\TCPD\TCADM\portal\start_ugmanager.bat
Validation: Ensure the entries are set and correct.
Tip: You can review more of the required registry entries by opening INSWEB\icd\nx4t.icd and finding the <regfile> section (INSWEB is installed for OTW).
3. Feature: NX Rich Client Integration
Launch TEM and proceed until you get to "Features"
Expand Teamcenter Integration for NX
Validation: The feature "NX Rich Client Integration" is installed (checked).
You should be able to launch NX without issues by following this method.
NX 11.0.1.mp01 | SW 2016 | TcUA 11.2.3
