Export BOM to Excel from Structure Manager via command line

Hi all,

I would like to batch export a list of Item structures to Excel, there are hundreds of Items that all need their BOMs exported to separate excel files. Doing it for each Item via Tools -> Export objects to Excel just takes too long. Is it at all possible to run it via command line in batch?

Cheers,

Juan

1 method could be the use of a transfermode with an xsl stylesheet applied which translates xml to an excel worksheet.  This could be incorporated into a workflow using pie-export-to-plmxmfile. You could then call this workflow from another worklow using epm-create-subproces with the argument -multiple_processes.

Sledgehammer to crack a nut... But if its something you do regularly...

Hi Rich,

Thanks for the suggestion, it would be a tad overkill though. The export only needs doing once, even though it runs over multiple structures. I'm a bit hesitant, as my XSLT is very rusty. Thanks anyway.
