Anyone know if it is possible to have different naming rule for the Item_ID (for the same Item type) depending of the group.
Group A - Create Item - Pattern = nnnnnnn
Group B - Create Item - Pattern = "AV-"nnn
Thank you in advance for your help.

Good afternoon, in my opinion it can be done using the conditions in BMIDE:
Attach naming rules with conditions
Using conditions with naming rules
Addition: if you have access to Solution Center
then look there document with ID: josiasj_061312
also look good information from plmdojo site:
Yes, this can be done with conditions like @ArthurRM mentioned. I've done it several times and it works well. Go through the links in Authur's post. If you have questions after that, I'll be glad to help you.
we did this by defining conditions with custom input parameters.
You could create two naming rules and two conditions e.g. isGroupA and isGroupB with
Signiture: UserSession u
Expression: u.group_name = "Group Name"
Then use the corresponding condition when you attach the property in the naming rule.
I hope this could help you.
Thank you for your help, it's exatly what I wanted.
I allow myself to add some dificulty: do you know if it's possile on the save as recover the number of the first Item to the new Item ?
User group A --> Creat Item ---> "CAD-"nnnnnn --> CAD-000001
User group B --> Save as Item ---> "SAV-"nnnnnn --> SAV-000001
I recover the 000001 since the fisrt Item to the new Item.
That is posible ?
