How to attribut mapping in Teamcenter Rapid 11.2

Dear All,

I am working on "attribut mapping in Teamcenter Rapid 11.2".

But exporting command of attribut file was fail.

GTAC was not support for attribut maping since TC 10.1., It's OK but here commnad was not fire.

My step for Export:
C:\0SITEC~1\TCRSDA~1\TEAMCE~1\tc_menu>%TC_ROOT%\bin\export_attr_mappings -u=info
dba -p=infodba -g=dba -file=attr.txt
ERROR: (C:\0SITEC~1\TCRSDA~1\TEAMCE~1\bin\export_attr_mappings) arguments are:
    -file=<mapping-file>
    [ -test ]
    [ -u=<username> ]
    [ -p=<password> ]
    [ -pf=<password file> ]
    [ -g=<group> ]
where:
"-test" means "export the test mappings, not the real ones"

C:\0SITEC~1\TCRSDA~1\TEAMCE~1\tc_menu>.

GTAC Told :

As per our discussion on the call yesterday including PD it was confirmed that this functionality has been removed since TcRs 10.1.

Alternative option is IRDC, but  I Can't know IRDC.

Please any one give me solution for "Attribute Mapping with Solid edge's custome properties".

Thanks & Regards,

Irfan Pathan

All of the arguments look valid. There are two things you can try:

1. Do not use copy/paste. Manually type the command into the command window.

2. Write to a different location. Try using the arg -file=C:\Temp\attr.txt.

Hopefully, these actions will work for you. As long as the infodba password really is the default and hasn't been changed.

I have manually type command & got bellow message:

C:\0SITEC~1\TCRSDA~1\TEAMCE~1\bin>export_attr_mappings -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -file=c:\temp\attr.txt
Command line login fail! Error code = 26052 ((no failures have occurred yet))

How to find the meaning of "Error code 26052"...

Search for 26000 in TC_ROOT\lang\textserver\en_US\*.xml and you'll find it in tc_errors.xml.

<textsrv filename="tc_errors.xml">
<errors module="tc" error_base="26000">

In tc_errors.xml look for 52 and the error message is:

<error id="52">The server initialization has failed. Please check the server syslog file for more information or contact your system administrator for further assistance.</error>

So you'll need to look at the syslog created when running export_attr_mappings for more information about what is wrong.

On another point, I wouldn't run executables directly in the \bin directory. Change to a writable directory first (like C:\Temp) and then call the executable (%TC_BIN%\export_attr_mappings ...). Please attach the syslog that is created when running the command.

Hi Randy,

If the command has been obsoleted by GTAC, how do we get the attributes now in TC11.2?

Cheers,

I don't see export_attr_mappings (or import_attr_mappings) listed in Tc11.2.0 Release Bulletin under Deprecated utilities nor under Obsolete utilities (RIP sb). In fact, both utilities are still listed in Tc11.2.2 online help. https://docs.plm.automation.siemens.com/tdoc/tc/11.2.2/help/#uid:index_utilities_reference:id250818
I think the error is going to be that the infodba password is not infodba or that the utility is not being run in a TC command window or that they don't have write access for the syslog or something similar other than the utility being deprecated.
But we won't know until we can get a look at their syslog.

Irfan,

Path to syslog should be :

C:\Users\<login>\AppData\Local\Temp\tcserver<string>.syslog

i.e.

C:\Users\tcadmin\AppData\Local\Temp\tcservere8058f3.syslog
