Thanks a lot for the detailed documentation.
I am looking to distribute the OTW client (find it easy to push the updates)only without using browser
Come to my presentation, Deploying Clients Via Windows Batch Scripting, at this month's PLM World Conference in Orlando where I walk through this very process in detail.
There is a little trick if you use IE 9 and higher and your OS Windows is x64
If it doesn't exist, then create the entry as a DWORD
Now all the pages will run as x64, even those that use Java or Flash.
This solution worked, was able to recognize JDK and I was able to utilize the OTW Client with IE 10
P.S. system or user environment preference JRE64_HOME must be set.
P.P.S. And you should run IE by clicking RMB and choising Run as Administrator
There is a way, but it depends on the solutions you choose. This is OTW so you'll need to install the first client using a browser (doesn't have to be IE11).
The NX integration will not have the registry setting for start_nxmanager.bat so you'll need to set it after unzipping the client. Teamcenter Visualization (Embedded) will make a whole lot of registry entries so do not use this method if you're selecting any TcVis solutions. Other solutions, especially the integrations, probably make registry entries also and should either be recorded and duplicated or avoided altogether. If you require integrations then use an alternate method like a TEM silent install that Larry discussed.
