Linking to Teamcenter WebClient Documents from a Intranet Portal

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hi,

I would like to create a link that points to the SF release of a document in teamcenter webclient.

e.g.

Document Name: 12345

Pseudo Code:  http://temcenterserver:8080/tc/webclient#name=12345&status=sf

I did not found documentation about which url parameters can be used to accomplish that.

any help would be greatly appreciated

best regards

Florian

Hello,

The quickest way would be to open your desired object in thin client and look out for the parameters the URL section of browser displays.

It helped me when I was setting up the URL for document object for Storing in SAP.

Best Regards

Harish

Not sure if this would work in your use-case, but the URL normally contains the object-UID:

http://servername : port/tc/webclient?argument=objectUid

Yes, that would work. But ideally I would like to link directly to the SF-Release. People shouldn't have to click three times until they can open the document.

You can reduce the number of clicks by generating the url for document dataset (in fact you could go down to named reference as well, so that user can view the file on click of the url)

you would have to change the url as:

argument=<dataset puid>&appcode=dataset
