I would like some pointers on how to accomplish this using the OOTB configuration.
1) Control a field (Date,String,UntypedReference) property values to be entered / modified by a specific user or group.
As far as I know there is no such ability in Teamcenter. The lowest division level for access control is business object. If you want to restrict access to some attributes you have to place it on a form and then restrict access to the form.
I am not an expert in Access Manager area, but I was wondering if conditions "HasAttribute" or "Has Form Attribute" could be applicable in this use case ?
Hello, Thanks for the response,
Looks like this is a current limitation with TC and my query was converted to ER. Still finding out ways to accomplish this through a workaround. Let you know if i can solve it.
Thanks for your input.
Got confirmation with GTAC that this is a limitation. We plan to use form object to store these properties. So
for group A the access will be RW on all the properties. for group B RW on few properties is not possible.
It's possible to got the current group in a Runtime property? Cause if is possible we can create a stylesheet with visible options
Thanks for your response.
I know about the hiding the property by stylesheet options. I would like a property to be visible for all the groups but allow only certain groups to Modify the values. Hence this option wouldn't work for us.
