Managing Standard Parts in Teamcenter

Hi guys,

I've installed the Machinery Library to Teamcenter Server with a DBA user.

What is the more convenient way for users of Teamcenter environment to browse them?

I couldn't find a nice way when I logged in as a user.

What kind of machinery library?

There is one that can be used with the reusable parts library.

Re: Managing Standard Parts in Teamcenter

Actually it is the original NX Machinery Librarythat I'm asking.

I installed it using the NX_Machinery Library Install tool on the Teamcenter server, had no errors.

I can see them when I log on as the installing user.

But as an other user on Teamcenter, how can I see the marhinery library parts?

I couldn't see them under the Reuse Library inside NX.

Re: Managing Standard Parts in Teamcenter

Sorry, I still don't get the kind of library you installed.

Was it MRL (Tc10.1.0_win64_1_of_2\advanced_installations\resource_management\Setup.exe)?

To see MRL (classification) in the reuse library a special license is needed and it must be enabled to show the classification in the reuse library in NX.

Re: Managing Standard Parts in Teamcenter

Hi Stefan,

It is called NX Machinery Library. A simple Standart Part library which is used in Reuse Library after installing that can be downloaded from ftp.ugs.com.

I've attached the user guide on installing it for managed mode. Maybe the window may seem familiar.

Re: Managing Standard Parts in Teamcenter

Has the ACL tree in Teamcenter been changed, so that things belonging to one group are not visible to another group?

Is the revision rule preventing things that are not released to be seen by the group?

Check the ACL of the group that can't see the items by viewing the access of the object through view => access or edit => access in the RAC.

Re: Managing Standard Parts in Teamcenter

Have you added the library path to the reuse library Teamcenter path customer default in NX?

Makes perfect sense! Smiley Happy

Re: Managing Standard Parts in Teamcenter

Hi Stefan,

Your answer is definitely the solution but I couldn't find the place to add the path customer default.

The library installed is at "infodba:[Home ,Machinery Library]" folder.

Where do I add this path and how?

Thank you very much.

Re: Managing Standard Parts in Teamcenter

The path you show is not available in Teamcenter, the real path looks different.

You can use the assembly import dialog to get the correct value for the path by specifying the destination folder there.

See the attached image for the reuse library customer default.
