Multiple items (Solid Edge assembly) files in a single ItemRev

In Teamcenter RS 10.1.6 users are able to have multiple files of the same type in a single itemRev.

Example 2 assembly files. Can I prevent this using GRM rules or is there a better way to do it?

Check Multifield Key functionality, this allow you to have two or more the same iteam ids with different multifields.

Sorry,
I think you may have got confused. I have a itemtype under Design for SolidEdge data. Within that item type is a part or assembly a draft and pdf plus a file etc..

For some reason it is allowing more than one draft file or more than one assembly file and more than one pdf.

I am trying to stop this from happening so only one draft file or assembly, pdf can be in an itemRev.

I think that I can do it with GRM rules. But I also know that I have to be careful as revising and SaveAs can be effected if not careful.

Is it possible to place a screenshot to show what you’re encountering...
Possibly also give the information about the data sets within the Item Rev.

Having multiple , PDF or other files types is not uncommon in TC.
However, you should (normally) only have a single 3D Solid Edge data set in each Item Rev.

In this example, there are multiple PDF's I need to restrict this to only one.

I thought I might be able to restrict using GRM rules?
