I get a "POM not started" error after re-boot.   Oracle services are started,  and I can login to sqlplus using infodba.

See attached.   Appreciate any information.

what is your installation date roughly?

It might be that your DB credential is expired and you must change your db pass.

Can be a couple of reasons, POM not started generally means tcserver can not successfully connect to the SQL DB for some reason.

  • Is the Database, up, running, connectable and can you log in (install -ayt)?
  • Is the License server up, running, connectable and has the correct license file?
  • Are the system times of the machine running tcserver.exe and the machine running the license server in sync?
  • Are the tcserver.exe processes (either 2Tier or 4Tier) starting up correctly (see tcserver.exe.NNNNN.syslog)?
  • Are other TC utilities like list_users, clearlocks performing correctly?

I entered the correct SID, rebooted, made sure Oracle service/listener were running, and that resolved the problem. Thanks.
