Nx not opening files from local cache

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hi,

I am new to Teamcenter and NX integration.

We have completed the integration and there is no error.

The issue I am facing is of very high load times of models when it is opened in Nx.

It looks like the files are loaded from the client server instead of the local cache. The network speed is about 40mbps.

We are not able to resolve this issue.

Please help.

Thanks

Jacob

Can you give more detail?

NX should first try to open from the FCC; your FCC defaults in the FMS master should be increased to 8GB (vs 1GB which is default).  It sounds like you also have a local FSC, check to ensure you have the proper cache size set up as OOTB it does not actually set a cache size .  See below from FMS master and FSC config, if in your FSC config you have zero extent files you are not actually server side caching.  Use the FMSCacheSizingTool_Ver_1_3.xlsx to determine your cache settings,  Would guess you should start with 20GB Read and 10 Write.

FCC defaults in FMS Master

      <property name="FCC_MaxReadCacheSize" value="8000M" overridable="true" />
      <property name="FCC_MaxWriteCacheSize" value="8000M" overridable="true" />

FSC Config: ensure that you are actually server side caching, if set like below then you have no server side cache.

    <property name="FSC_MaximumReadCacheExtentFiles" value="0" overridable="true" />

40Mb/s - it's your total channel bandwidth? So it could be not enouth if many clients working.

You can find it on the GTAC download site: https://download.industrysoftware.automation.siemens.com under Teamcenter, Product Updates, Tools.
