I want to open stp file in Lifecycle Visualization from Teamcenter. When I click on the icon it opens external Visualization but the file does not load. Does anybody know which settings I have to make so that the stp file is loaded. Because if I open the file localy it opens in vis. I have added UGMASTER, UGPART, STP, STEP to dmu preference, I have also added STEP to client_specific.properties. Is there anything else I have to set?

For those of you still experiencing this issue, what happens if you double-click a STP file in Windows Explorer?  I assume your default program for .stp and .step files is set to Teamcenter Visualization.

Does the application open AND the selected file is displayed or doe the app open, but not the file, with or without any errors?

We've seen similar behavior but get the dreaded "cannot send the command to the program" error.
