PLMXML Export

Hi everybody,

I have some questions about PLMXML Export, I hope (and I'm sure, you can help me). Smiley Wink

We progress to migrate our TC 8.3 to TC 11 and I will compare the same objects with the PLMXML Export (to prepare ascii files for the future).

In TC 11, into the menu Tools -> Export I have the possibility to use PLMXML Export.

In TC 8.3 the menu doesn't exist. I will try to use the command line but I don't found the last information.

plmxml_export -u= -p=-g=-xml_file=test.xml -transfermode=export_object ??????

Can I must add to choose the correct revision?

Or other question, perhaps you know how I can add the menu into tc 8.3 !

Thank you

Hi,

As far as I remember in TC 8 the menu looked a liitle bit different. Did you check export -> objects and then select PLMXML?

For export on command line you have to add the uid e.g. : -uid="123456"

Hi,

I try this command and it doesn't work:

plmxml_export -u=-p=-g=-xml_file="d:\temp\testsss.xml" -transfermode=bct_export -uid="094750"

What I do wrong?

sorry, 123456 as UID was misleading. You have to select the item revision and open the print object view (Show View -> Other... -> Enter Print -> select Print Object View) then you can grep the UID from the print object view. It looks like Agdd$j3tIzEoCA.

I think PLMXML Export Menu in TC8.3 can be accessed like this:

Open menu "Tools->Export->Objects..." and then select PLM XML

I'm stupid.. UID is not the ID.

Thank you, now it's working.
