Hi guys,

One of our prospects for TC Rapid Start is asking this.

They want to have 3D representation (like JT) and 2D technical drawings of their parts(like PDF) to be embedded into their website, and also want this link to be updated if the change the 3D model and drafting in NX.

Can a link like this be done between TC and their website?

They want users visiting their website to be able to see the 3D models and PDF’s of the drawings.

Thanks

If you like to link directly to the Tc content, then you would also need a login for the web site visitors in Tc.

JT needs a special viewer to be installed, so a regular 3D web format would be best to avoid the need of installing an additional viewer.

The simplest would be to export the content to a place where no login is needed and the web page has access to.

This can be done during a workflow task or similar.

Hi Stefan,

First of all thank you very much.
But I now have more questions now Smiley Happy
Which 3D format would you suggest that can be created from NX and Teamcenter and put on a website?

Also the other issue is PDF for 2D drawings.

If the customer creates a guest user and password in TC, would it be possible for more than one guest concurrently seach and examine a 2D or 3D data through their website?

"Guest" users violate your license agreement w/Siemens (named user only) unless you specifically pay for it. A new product called TcIF/LDF (Linked Data) might work but you'll need advice from your CSR to confirm.
