Rebuild indexes in TC8.3

I know in TC 10.1, Index_verifier will give you the commands to rebuild/defragment the indexes that are fragmented. If you run the same command in TC8.3, it doesn't give you the command to rebuild the indexes. Is there a command to run that will do this?

No, there is none for Tc previous to 10.1, for these you need to use the regular SQL commands.

 

There is a script to defragment available on the net on MSDN (Microsoft Software Developers Network).

Thanks. I haven't found any scripts that will defrag the indexes in all of the tables. Do you happen to have a link handy for the script?

See sys.dm_db_index_physical_stats (Transact-SQL) section D for a way to defragment all indexes of a database.
