Remove object from folder

Anyone know of a way to remove an object from a folder? Either through a workflow, utility or IPS?

Siemens removed our capability to manipulate folders when they obsoleted the MSA (MultiSiteAssistant) toolkit (specifically tc_extract_msa). Last supported version was Tc10.1. I've submitted an enhancement request (ER#9163361) which you can call GTAC to put your name to also (adds priority to it).

IPS_Upload may be able to handle it but I haven't used it in a long time.

Hi Richard,

    I've not tested this myself, but the PLMXML/TCXML Export Import Administration guide has an example of using PLMXML delta modify to remove an object from a folder.

This worked a treat.

 

For everyones information, I used the following using the cots incremental_import to delete a folders content.  To get the Application Ref element I performed a plmxml export:
