We are having an issue when saving parts, it's random, like Teamcenter Russian Roulett. User A may have it with a file, while user B will not, and the next day it may be fine for user A. Issue is, you don't know until you hit save, so work can be lost. It does not come up if you export the file out of Teamcenter, so we, and GTAC feel it is database related.
The error message:
The property in the rec box will vary, some of the values are:
area_error volume com_z moi_yy max_mass min_mass com_y com_error poi_yz volume_error mass density poi_xy accuracy area
and occasionally we will get the following, when we try to release a file in Teamcenter:
The constant in the error/warning, is "the instance is not loaded", which leads us to believe they are related. Also, this started, soon after we applied a GTAC supplied fix to our SQL server, for an issue regarding saving items that were in specific Projects. Again, this makes us think it is database related.
Anyone having similar issues, of thoughts on it? we have multiple IR's submitted on this, but we are trying to help GTAC with any possible insight. We just aren't sure where to look.
we faced similar issue a year ago. in my case, assembly ll not open for user A but for rest it ll open.
Please try open the assembly as structure only.
1. enable any one subassembly and try to save the assembly.
2. repeat for as many sub assemblies ( time consuming :-( .. if many sub assemblies )
3. try to locate the subassembly ..then try to locate the items .. it may be many or few items located in varies sub assemblies.
4. finally, try to open and save those items individually .. restart the session.
Hope it ll work.
Thanks for the suggestion, but the issue appears to be related to a DEBUG setting within Teamcenter. We are still working with GTAC to find the root cause, but so far changing a couple OOTB setting from DEFAULT to INFO has worked. The quest now is to find the DEBUG setting, that was bring put into place for the DEFAULT setting.
@ametz in our tc_profilevars.bat file, this was set: UGII_Checking_Level=1. Once we removed that debug setting, everything started to work correctly. That setting was done for a previous IR, per GTAC instruction, and we failed to back it out, once that was cleared up.
IR: 8892684 if you wish to reference it.
