Setting a password strength ?

Hello all !

I was wondering it is possible to set a strenght for all the users of a Teamcenter installation ?

For example setting that every passwords must contain at least an upper-case, a digit and 8 characters.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Best regards.

Re: Setting a password strength ?

Take a look at these preferences:

PASSWORD_minimum_alpha
PASSWORD_minimum_characters
PASSWORD_minimum_digits
PASSWORD_minimum_special chars
PASSWORD_mixed case_required

Remember that this affects ALL logins ... including service accounts.

Re: Setting a password strength ?

Does it mean that I would've to change all the service accounts logins ? even infodba's ?

Does changing it could bring me issues ?

Re: Setting a password strength ?

Yes, even infodba's password would need to be compliant to the rules. Changing the password should not bring you issues. However, you will need to regenerate the password file (same with dcproxy and Dispatcher).
