Shared Metadata Cache login error

Appreciate any information about the attached login error.

Only system change is a custom DLL that I put into TC_BIN.

However,  I removed the custom DLL from TC_BIN,  and I still get the error.

You need to set TC_SKIP_CLIENT_CACHE=1 in portal.bat or fix the root cause on the server...

# Delete
generate_metadata_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -delete
generate_client_meta_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -t delete all

# Regenerate
generate_client_meta_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -t generate all
generate_metadata_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -force

Did you copy/paste the command instead of typing it in? The "-" and "=" can get you in trouble when copy/paste is used. Try typing the command in yourself. Further, if you changed the infodba password then use your real password instead of the default.

ok,  maybe some progress :)

I deleted all the Teamcenter cache directories under %temp% : FCCCache, Siemens, Teamcenter.

The cache login error is gone,  and now I get the login POM error,  which also appears to be affecting Randy's cmd recommendation:

"C:\Apps\Teamcenter11\tc_menu>generate_metadata_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -delete
Command line login fail! Error code = 26052 (POM_db_connect_fail) "

See attached.   Appreciate any more feedback anyone may have.

Either something isn't sourced correctly when running the tc menu script or your database is unavailable (not started or connection string in tc_profilevars.bat is wrong). Validate your DB connection by running in a Tc cmd window:
install -ayt

You should see "Site is already installed". Anything else and you have a DB connection issue.

I restarted the Oracle listener and Teamcenter is up now.   I have no idea how simply restarting the listener got me past the POM login error.   Only thing I can think of is startup order -

was (manual ):

OracleServiceTC

OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener

OracleMTSRecoveryService

now ( with the listener restart):

OracleServiceTC

OracleMTSRecoveryService

OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener

Start the listener before the DB instance.
