TC Classification - search form using multiple class values

Hello,

i create a classificiation structure. Some of storage_class-values are used more then one time for classification. So i used the array option. For classifying it works very well.

When i try to search for products and using the classification search, than I see all the textboxes but unfortunaly only the first ist enabled. So I can use only one descriping value.

Here the situation:

Is there a possibility for using all of the textboxes.

Many thanks Eule

Hi!

For searching only one field is active.

In NEW and EDIT mode all fields are active and you can write values into all.

The search function searches for all objects, where the search string is in one of the fields...

Hello Markus,

many thanks for your feedback. Is that right, that for searching is only one value possible but not the combination of two or more values. An example:

  1. In the Class "Test" there are values A, B, C, D, E.
  2. A classified object has the values A, C, D.
  3. If I want to search for this opject, I only could use a single value A or C or D and not an combination e.g. A and C.

Kind regards. Frank

Hi Frank!

You can use the "AND" operator "&".

For example: A & C

But there is one limitation:

This works only, if the attribute format is not KeyLOV.

For option menus it does not work.

(At least in RAC...)

Hope this helps...

Hello Markus,

thanks for the information.

The values are stored in a KeyLOV. Here a Screenshot:

There´s no possibility using "and" or "&". But I understand, that this is the limitation that you described.

What are the requirements for using the operators or logical expression? Is there another way beyond using KeyLOV´s,  defining LOV in TC Classification.

Hi Frank!

I am not aware of a solution or workaround with KeyLOVs and "AND" operator in Teamcenter Rich Client.

The only "workaround" I know is using texts instead of KeyLOVs.

But I understand that this difficult with the options you have in the option menu.

Did you check Active Workspace? Is it there possible?

So long...
