TC Rich Client LOV description on summary View

Hi all,

we are testing TC 10.1.6 at the moment, because we want to upgrade from TC 8.3.

At the summary view in TC10 we only can see the value of a property with attached LOV.

In TC 8.3 we saw the value and the description seperated by a comma.

I hope this is configurable and somebody can give me a hint where I can change that.

Thanks in advance

Does the proeprty show both Value & Description in TC 10?

I am not sure if stylesheets are not migrated during TC Upgrade.

But i am sure you could fix this by updating the Stylesheets .

As pointed out by Arun, this can be fixed by modifying Stylesheets. Run a 'General...' search query and search objects of type 'XMLRenderingStylesheet'. In the search results you should find stylesheet for ItemRevision summary (Check which one is appropriate for the object type you are using) . You can view the stylesheet content in Viewer tab.

Re: TC Rich Client LOV description on summary View

I have tried both for the properties with attached LOVs in the rendering Stylesheets

  1. <property name="xxx"/>
  2. <property name="xxx" renderinghint="lovuicomp"/>

Did not change anything in the Summary View in TC 10.1.6.

It still only shows the LOV Value when the object is checked in.

In TC 8.3 the Summary View showed the LOV Value and the LOV Description.

The Stylesheet was similar to this line:

<property name="xxx"/>

Re: TC Rich Client LOV description on summary View

Hi,

When you open the form using View Properties, do you still see the LOV description there?

If not, i don't expect this to appear using Stylesheets.

You then need to configure it from TC Options: Tools --> Options --> List Of Values (Include the LOV to show Description)

Kind Regards,

Hi, Did that fix your problem?

Re: TC Rich Client LOV description on summary View

Hi, no did not fix it.

In TC8.3 the View Properties Form looks like this:

view_props_tc8.png

And in TC10.1.6 the View Properties Form looks like this:

view_props_tc10.png

so there is no difference between TC.

In the View Properties Dialog I can never see the LOV Description.

Sorry that it is not fixed :-(

The preference change requires a new session. Did you tried to log out and login back?
