TC equivalent to refile_part.exe?

We are planning the migration from NX9 with TC10 to NX11 with TC11.  Being an NX guy, I know about the utility refile_part.exe, which you can run on OS stored files to bring them up to the latest version.  What about in Teamcenter?  I'd like to see the option switches, so I can advise our TC admin, how to run it.

Thanks!

You'll want to direct your admin to ugmanager_refile:

Re: TC equivalent to refile_part.exe?

@RandyEllsworth  Any tips on which switches and options to use, for this type of NX version update?

In the native world, I set it to keep the original file date, and owner, and just wanted them converted to the new NX version.

Re: TC equivalent to refile_part.exe?

It varies by requirement and there are a lot of switches. The ones I like to use are:

  • -keep_volume
  • -nonmasters
  • -output_file
  • -log_file
  • -bypass
  • -refile_released
  • etc

I don't mess with the BOM or syncronization since we're just concentrating on uplifting the part files.
