I'm having problems importing NX12 templates into TC12. I'm lauching the import utility, it executes and says that the import is successfull, but no templates are actually imported - and also utility terminates suspiciously promptly.
Has anyone had the similar problem before? Are there any Tc logs that I need to have a look at?
Good afternoon, did you try to run a command, without the -action key, as in the documentation?
Do you use 2-tier or 4-tier for installation? 4-Tier requires additional environment variables
Hello! Sorry for the late response!
I have a 2-tier environment. I tried running withouth the -action key and it did not seem to make any difference.
it has been a while when I was importing File-New-Templates of NX to Teamcenter.
I never had a problem with opening the NX-CMD-Prompt from the start menu, set TC_ROOT=<your-tc-root-path-here> and TC_DATA=<your-tc-data-path-here>, change directory to %UGII_BASE_DIR%\UGII\templates\sample and run the tcin_template_setup skript with the login arguments (-u=infodba -p=*** -g=dba)...
(I know that the DOCS tell it a bit different...)
I have no problem running it either. It is getting the result that I have problem with. :-)
I successfully ran this utility on previous versions of TC, but with this one something is wrong.
Probably faulty installation. I did not do it, so I don't know what options were picked.
within your installation - you can launch NX from Teamcenter?
if not - can you check on the server if the "NX Integration" feature (I hope I spelled it correctly) is enabled/installed?
it would be interesting what the tcserver*.syslog and $USERNAME*.syslog (NX-log) say for the import?
Apparently the problem was spaces in the NX path. Yes, in this day and age!
The solution was to change in tcin_template_setup.bat:
@files = glob( $template_dir . '\*' );
@files = glob( "'" . $template_dir . '\*' . "'");
