TCCS based Rich Client

Hello Team,

Good Evening!

I was going through some Teamcenter documents and found below information,

Existing Rich Client 2 Tier & Rich Client 4 Tier feature will be deprecated in upcoming Teamcenter versions and instead of that, we should start using Rich Client 2 & 4 Tier feature which is TCCS based.

Then I gave a try to check what exactly changes they have made in this..

I have removed my existing Rich Client 2 Tier feature and added Rich Client 2 & 4 Tier.

after installation when I am trying to log in.

There is no server connection populated here. even I have given two connections for 2Tier & 4Tier.

Tried running registry manually but still no luck.

I would like to know what is the root cause of this?

also what made Siemens PLM Software to do this change when i believe we are still using IIOP/HTTP protocols?

Regards,

Ganesh

I've installed the 2 or 4 tier client successfully several times using TEM.

I did have troubles trying to install it after letting Deployment Center install a standard 2 Tier RAC. That was on a VM, so I just dumped it an restarted, which might not help you.

At the risk of being obvious, did you define the connections you want? This is not automatic, even on a Corporate Server installation.

I don't have a screenshot, but it's on the "Environment Settings for Client Communication System" page.

After installation, you access these settings using:

You can define 2 tier, 4 tier or both types of connections. Clear your cache again before restarting the RAC.

Frustrating. I also had trouble when I first installed a 2 tier RAC.

I would refer that problem to GTAC.
