TEM-Packages installation

Hi!

My 4-tier configuration (Teamcenter 11.2):

TC-01:
SQL Server 2014

TC-02:

Teamcenter Foundation
Teamcenter Rich Client 2-tier
.NET Based Server Manager
FMS Server cache
NX Part Family Classification Integration
NX Foundation

TC-03 (Web server):

Teamcenter Foundation

Teamcenter Rich Client 2-tier

Web Tier for .NET

NX Part Family Classification Integration

NX Foundation

I want to install additional features (TEM-Packages) from XML files (like TIA Portal, PlantSim interface etc..). Do I need to install these both TC-02 and TC-03 or is it enough to install on the web server (or TC-02)? Previously I istalled Teamcenter on one computer so the choice was out of question, but now I am a bit confused.

Thank you for your time!

You TC-03 web tier has too much installed as it doesn't require:
Teamcenter Foundation
Teamcenter Rich Client 2-tier
NX Part Family Classification Integration
NX Foundation

Those were only needed on TC-02 where TC_DATA lives. Whenever data model changes are to be made, like adding TIA Portal of PlantSim, then its best to stick to the server where you installed Foundation first (where TC_DATA was created). TEM keeps track of what you've installed so you don't want to go through multiple servers or you're going to get confused on where you feature is or how to uninstall it.

Stick to TC-02 unless you have a reason not to, like you're updating the web tier or adding Help.
