Type of Relation during paste for a certain type of Item

ConvertToYourTimeZone("Good afternoon"):

Whenever I paste an item's revision into another's I get an 'Specification' type of relation. I am being unable to change it in the Rich Client. Could someone help me to find the way to change it to another value, please?

I would also like to know if there is a way to define which type of relation applies during a paste operation for a certain type of business object (not changing the default, which is 'Specification'). I imagine this is defined in the BMIDE, but I am not finding anything in the documentation (my fault).

Thank you Smiley Happy

Re: Type of Relation during paste for a certain type of Item

Hello,

RAC, Edit --> Options --> Item or Item Revision option lets you set the default relation for the item types.

I have included a screen grab below.

The relation name is stored as a preference: '<item type/form type>_default_relation'.

Absolutely right, I found the solution myself before reading the answer. Thank you Smiley Happy

Re: Type of Relation during paste for a certain type of Item

Setting the default relation will affect anything you paste into the itemrevision. The other option is to use a pseudo folder (ItemRevision_PseudoFolder).
