Unable to create Volume

Hi everybody,

I found unfortunaly nothing about my error in GTAC or in this forum.

My goal: Create a new volume into a new FSC Server

  • FSC Service run well in both server.
  • When I create new volume into another (oldest) FSC Server, that's ok.
  • Windows write access are ok.

Perhaps, one thing miss into the fmsmaster ? (*nameofserver is changed manually for this post)

      <fscgroup id="CZMFSC">
         <fsc id="FSC_CZMS_TCTST_FSC1" address="http://nameofserver:4544" ismaster="false" />

Thank you

This process works:
1. Install the FSC service on the new server.
2. Add the new FSC service to the FMS Master (ismaster="false").
3. Restart the FSC service running the changed FMS Master.
4. Restart the new FSC service - monitor TC_ROOT\fsc\FSC_*.stdout for errors.
5. Add the new volume once the new FSC is running successfully.

Re: Unable to create Volume

You can install the New FSC  server, once it is installed then you can add the details for new FSC in the master FSC file and restart the Master and client FSC services.

once it is implemented open TC and select the option in organization to create new volume.

Provide the details for Node Name, FSC ID , Volume name  and also the details for the directory where u want to store the volume.

once the input is given, you can create a new volume and details will be written in the master fsc file.

you can restart the FSC if the Master configuration file is not same on server and client machine.
