Unable to launch Over-the-Web Installer due to one or more of the following reasons

Hello Team,

Good Morning..!!!

 

I have configured Teamcenter OTW for 11.2.1, 

But when I'm trying to launch the OTW link in any browser it shows below error message.

-I am using 64-bit browser and 64 bit Java 1.8

Hello Ganesh,

 

 

Did you launch the OTW in 64-bit browser (say IE) with administrator privileges or elevated privileges?

Usually the IE shortcut in start menu is that of 32-bit browser (atleast in my machine)

yes i have tried in multiple browsers and also tried with "run as administrator", but no luck

 

whenever I am trying to launch otw.html it automatically directs it to launcherror.html instead of installing.html

 

I am trying to understand the logic written in the otw.html file which is as below.

Add your OTW web server to the Java exception site list (Control Panel -> Programs ->Java -> Security), and in spite of what the error message says use 32-bit Java with Internet Explorer.

Try to launch the OTW installer from a command shell where JRE (you want) is at the beginning of your PATH.

Thanks a lot your solution worked somewhat extent, now I am getting another issue as below,

Distribution Instance RCDCInstance not found on Distributor Hostname:12099

 

I have started both bat file 

i.e. start_rmi.bat

and start_server.bat

RMI Port is 12099 for Distribution server, through which it's trying to connect the Distribution instance named RCDS Instance.

I have removed previous instance and created new one, and its working now..!!

from earlier instances some html files got corrupted due to manual editing which is not allowed.
