It is not Tc2010, it is Tc10.1 Smiley Wink

What database do you use currently?

What server operating system do you use currently?

Make sure to have your migration tested by a knowledgeable Siemens consultant, they have more information about gotchas and such.

Hi

You need to it in steps since it's not supported to go from 2007 to TC10.1 in one step.

I think you need to go to TC9 first and then to TC10.1.

What I seen is that you can skip one version but if you skip two it will give you alot of more work for the upgrade.

We are right now in the process of upgrading from TC8.3 to TC10.1.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply....

After posting this question, we found out that we are supposed to take the route of 2007  --> 9.1 --> 10.1

We are in that process now....

have you tried your upgrade on a test env?

regards,

Jay

We always have a Siemens consultant do the upgrade in a test environment, when he is sure that the upgrade succeeds, our test environment will be migrated.

After we have verified that our test environment is OK, our production environment is migrated.

Sure it takes time, but the consultant can report problems early and get workarounds or even solutions to problems he encounters during the migration.

Testing in a test environment at our site has the advantage to be able to find any remaining problems, so the migration of the production environment should be painless.

Sure there is always the possibility to have some things that will only surface in the production environment, but the amount is very small after heavy testing.
