admin_data_import created two copies

Creator
Creator

We are required to periodically move data from Dev to QA environment.  After second sprint, When I tried to move stylesheetsfrom Dev environment to QA, it created another copy instead of merging . :(

Now two questions.

1. How can I clean up the mess ? I am not allowed to delete stylesheets as it says it is referenced .

2. How can I avoid this in future ?

Good afternoon

1. Look where referenced on the stylesheet on the Impact Analysis tab. So you will understand what the stylesheet refers to. If this is the ClientCache folder, cut out the stylesheet and then delete it. After that, execute commands on the server to regenerate the client cache:

Delete client cache:

generate_metadata_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -delete
generate_client_meta_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -t delete all

Regenerate client cache:

generate_client_meta_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -t generate all
generate_metadata_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -force

2. Write a script, for example batch file and try do not make mistakes

I used the command

admin_data_import -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -adminDataTypes=Stylesheets -inputPackage=D:\Configurations\Backup18Aug\Stylesheets.zip -mergeOption=Stylesheets:override_with_source

now, while deleting additional stylesheet I am getting error that is referenced in Stylesheet Cache folder.

I am supposed to delete it manually ?
